Watch Out for H1N1 Email Scam

An email scam is circulating that claims people must fill out a personal H1N1 vaccine profile on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website to receive the vaccine.

If you receive this email, do not click on the link in the body of the email. It will install a malicious code on your computer.

The CDC is not taking vaccine registration on its website. However, there is legitimate vaccine registration on the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s H1N1 in PA website.

The Department of Health (DOH) registration does not ask for sensitive personal information, just your name. In addition, you will not receive an email after registering for a vaccine with the DOH.
