Four Physicians Take Home Prizes in RFS Poster Contest

Four members of the Pennsylvania Medical Society's Resident and Fellow Section took home cash prizes at the section’s annual poster contest Oct. 24, 2009 in Hershey. 

Taking home the top prize of $500 were Adam Abdulally, MD and Jill Haltigan, MD, of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for their poster, "Fitwits MD: An Office Guide to Obesity Counseling for Kids and Parents."

Krista Todoric, MD, of Penn State Hershey Medical Center claimed the $350 second-place prize with her poster "Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis: What is a Resident to Do?"

Jean Ong Kian Koc, MD, of Albert Einstein Medical Center won the third-place prize of $200 with her poster "A Descriptive Study on the Factors Affecting Mortality and Disease Free Survival among Triple Negative Breast Cancer Patients."

There were 75 entries in the contest. The top 25 were selected to present during the Medical Society's House of Delegates annual meeting.
