Pennsylvania’s senators—Sen. Arlen Specter and Sen. Bob Casey—are considered likely votes for repeal of SGR. However, physicians are urged to remind the senators of their support for repeal.

Health Reform Legislation Passes Senate
The US Senate on Dec. 24, 2009, passed health system reform legislation on a 60-39 vote. The Senate and the House of Representatives must now convene a conference committee to iron out differences.

Several physicians have reported to the Pennsylvania Medical Society that auditors from the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine have found discrepancies in their Category 2 CME credits.

New CRNP Regulations Expand Scope of Practice
