Pittsburgh Surgeon Elected PAMPAC Board Chair

Amelia Pare, MD has been elected as the PAMPAC board chair for the 2011-2012 campaign cycle.  Dr. Pare has served on the PAMPAC board since 2006.  She is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon in Allegheny County.

The Board elected Benjamin Schlechter, MD of Reading as the vice chair.  He is also a plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

John Gallagher, MD of Sharon is the immediate past chair of the PAMPAC board.

The coming year will likely be a busy one for PAMPAC under Dr. Pare’s leadership. Already planned is participation in an AMA advocacy conference in Washington, DC that will feature Capitol Hill visits and a congressional reception. PAMPAC will also be sponsoring a campaign seminar in July for Pennsylvania Medical Society and Alliance members.
