PAMPAC-Supported Judicial Candidates Covey and Eakin Take Home Wins

In the statewide judicial election, held Nov. 8, 2011, PAMPAC-supported candidate Anne Covey won a spot on the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. A party-endorsed Republican candidate from Bucks County, Ms. Covey has strong local physician contacts and is pro medical liability reform.

PAMPAC also supported Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice J. Michael Eakin, who won retention to a second 10-year term.

For the open seat in Superior Court, PAMPAC supported Victor Stabile, the Republican candidate from Cumberland County. Unfortunately, Democrat David Wecht of Allegheny County beat Mr. Stabile 54-46 percent.

To pave the way for court decisions that will have a positive impact on your medical practice, PAMPAC supports statewide justices who have two key attributes: they are fair-minded and understand physicians’ issues.
