Guide Gives Overview of State’s Health Resources

The commonwealth of Pennsylvania has updated its Health and Human Services Resource Guide, which summarizes services and resources that are available through more than 100 state programs.

The guide can be a valuable reference for physicians looking for health care resources for their patients. It can be downloaded for free and shared with patients.

Programs aimed at combating common public health problems like asthma, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and obesity are included in the guide.

In addition, it includes resources on children’s health and safety, food and nutrition services, medical care and coverage, mental health, pregnancy and family planning, services for children and adults with disabilities, and services for older Pennsylvanians.
