About the Alliance

The Pennsylvania Medical Society Alliance is an organization of "physicians' spouses dedicated to the health of America."
I have been an Alliance member for the past 17 years. I joined within a few months of moving to the Lehigh Valley which is located in the eastern part of Pennsylvania.
The Alliance has afforded me a group of friends with whom I share common interests; the chance to be actively involved with my community; and an understanding of how medical legislation affects not only my husband’s chosen profession of medicine but also general access to health care. The state Alliance has also helped me develop my leadership skills by providing training.
I was not aware of the Alliance during the first eight years of my marriage to John, a cardiologist. It wasn't until we moved to Pennsylvania that I learned of the Alliance and how good of a fit it was for me.
I believe there are many potential members throughout Pennsylvania and the US who are not aware of the Alliance. We need to spread the word to these potential members about our exciting organization!
